Mid-Week Encouragement | March 20th, 2024

The latest news about my eye has been a real pain, literally and figuratively. Because of the blurring, fog, and artifacts floating around, reading and writing have been ten times more difficult. I have struggled to complete simple tasks that have now become laborious.
I have also experienced headaches over the last two weeks, which I attribute to straining to read and see. I will continue to use the drops over the course of the next few weeks and hope that the tests at my next visit will offer some good news. Until then, I will have to schedule my reading and writing more carefully, rest in between more often, and avoid extracurricular activities, such as coding and programming.
This has caused me to pause and think about some things. Things we do take for granted. Not just our vision, as in my case. But things we don't always think about, such as God's forgiveness, God's grace, His peace, and so much more! We need to take time, perhaps even each day, to think about the things we normally don't think about and thank God for His provision, protection, and plan, which saved you and me.
Ephesians 5:18-20
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Have a blessed week, and be sure to check in with Julie and Edward to see if there is anything you can do to help!

We are updating our website and some of the services. We added 'Watch Online' to the top menu to make finding archived sermons easier. We also repaired the non-working links to all the books on Amazon by Pastor Shields on TruthDigest.org. We are also working on a new 'Text-to-Donate' feature for the church so people can text in their donations.
