Mid-Week Encouragement for April 24th, 2024

If you know me well, then you know I love science fiction and movies. I also love a good television series. Many years ago there was a service I used to pay for that would filter out objectionable things (nudity, bad language, etc.) from movies and I was not only able to watch many of the movies I wanted but also allowed my kids to watch. For one reason or another, their service slowed down, and they offered less and less until finally, they stopped filtering all together.

This was upsetting to me because even PG-13, and PG can sometimes be too offensive for me to watch and enjoy. I'll never forget the time we rented a PG kid's show, Paulie, because my daughter loved birds. Let me tell you, it was appalling that a supposed kid's show had a G-D word in it. That was the end of us renting movies.

Then I found a service called VidAngel. I was so excited to see we would be able to watch TV again!! I have been using their service for years now, and cannot tell you how great it is. They have multiple filters with various settings that allow you to tune out whatever you want, as much as you want! It has allowed us to have family movie night, as well as let my wife and I wind down in the evening with some shows. We use it for everything we watch!
