Mid-Week Encouragement for April 10th, 2024

This has been an exceptionally difficult month, between my eye, and all of the struggles I see in friends and families all around me. It can really make you stop and pray many times a day! We've seen marriage struggles, death from illness, financial struggles, and the list goes on. Many times a day Terri and I stop to pray for all the things that seem to be flooding the people of God lately.

It is easy to see why someone could find themselves worn down, beaten, and feeling defeated because of all the struggles we face that are completely out of our hands. But we do have a friend in Jesus! He tells us in His word to place our burdens on Him! So, we should! The Lord knows and understands the daily struggles, the fear, and feelings of defeat, and He promises to give us rest!

So, as we go through our week, let us not only remember to pray for our brothers and sisters in their struggles but also remember that when we bring these things to the Lord, we can leave them at His feet! We do not need to carry worry or concern with us once we turn it over to the Lord.

Matthew 11:28-30

"28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
